Leader or “Victim”?

What does a ‘leader’ look like in your workplace?

How do they speak? What language do they use (keep in mind that language is thought first)?

How do they behave?

Are they present, connected, interested, supportive? Do they challenge you to grow and improve?

Do they care?

Contrast that with someone who is stuck in a ‘victim’ mindset.

The ‘problem’ is not their fault; they have no authority or it’s not in their job description.

Personal development is not on their radar unless someone else pays for it.  They’re comfortable with the status quo, even if it’s broken.

Who would you rather work with?
